What you’ll be doing…
The Consumer Content and Partnerships team is responsible for connecting consumers with the content and experiences they love on the nation’s best network. Content serves as a key driver in consumer decision making, and the role that content plays for our current and future customers is increasingly critical. As one of the largest direct-to-consumer platforms in the U.S., we have a massive opportunity to herald in the next consumer use cases for video, audio, immersive and live experiences. Our team sits at the center of that opportunity. We lead the +play platform and oversee all content partnerships, source opportunities and negotiate with a broad range of content and programming entities, including major broadcast and cable companies, sports leagues, emerging O&O platforms, OTT/digital providers, studios, AR/VR producers, retailers, gaming developers, and live entertainment venues and production companies.
Our team is seeking an experienced self-starter, someone who has great analytical skills, who can help our group with critical analysis needed in negotiating with our external content partners. The analysis would include drop analysis, go dark analysis, deal modelling, business case for deals and others, for both Fios and +Play content.
Responsibilities include:

Undertaking drop analysis, go dark analysis, deal modeling for Fios and +Play content negotiations.

Conducting ad-hoc analysis to provide insights into business and support reporting.

Maintaining existing self-serve tools for content team.

Undertaking digital Analytics including Site Conversion, Traffic Sources and heat maps.

Acting as liaison with Verizon Consumer Group finance for anything related to analytics/business cases.

Providing analytical expertise to the content team.

Finding opportunities to improve existing processes and tool/systems in use.

Partnering with other analytics group (data science team, DENA, VIVA) to collaborate on best approach to serve our group’s analytics needs.

Performing advanced analytics, modeling and data mining to develop insights on our business.
What we’re looking for…
You are curious about the business and are great with details. You enjoy creating models, digging through data for insight into opportunities for content deal negotiations. You have great financial acumen and can collaborate with finance and other teams to fulfil analytical needs of the group. You understand how to balance what others want and what your area needs. You are dedicated and determined to see things through from start to finish. You focus on the details but don’t lose sight of the big picture…or your deadlines. You like working with diverse people from all kinds of backgrounds and functions and have a knack for developing relationships.
You’ll need to have:

Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Experience with creating business models and data analytics.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:

Bachelor’s degree in Math, Physics, Computer Science, and Engineering.

Knowledge of ThoughtSpot, SQL, Tableau, and other reporting resources.

Master’s degree in a quantitative field. Ideally, an MBA.

Balanced the needs of multiple partners.

Product development or analytics experience in the technology sector.

SQL, SQL, Editor for Oracle experience.

Hadoop and Map/Reduce experience.

Familiarity with data visualization software. Ideally, COGNOS or Tableau.

Working knowledge of scripting languages. Ideally, Python or Perl.
-
Business Intelligence Certification (CPBI).

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington work location, the compensation range for this position is between $106,000.00 and $197,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
