About Veritas Education (US-China Education and Culture Center)
Veritas Education, based in the Washington DC Metropolitan area, is looking for several experienced Part-Time teacher to support our classes in the following subjects:
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
1. Create objectives for class lessons and develop lesson plans to achieve course objectives
2. Establish rules and maintain an orderly and productive classroom
3. Adapt teaching methods and course materials to meet students’ developmental needs
4. Assign, correct and grade homework assignments, classroom work and tests, and quizzes
5. Issue progress reports to parents and participate in parent-teacher meetings and communication
6. Provide written and verbal feedback to students to help them understand the progress
Teacher Qualifications and Skills
1. Master’s degree in related fields, such as Education, English literature, Linguistics, or History
2. Passionate about helping students grow and learn
3. Teaching experience in SAT, AP English, and Reading and Writing
4. 3+ years of experience in teaching K-12 students
5. Able to work during weekends (weekend afternoons)
6. Team-oriented, patient, punctual, motivated, and responsible
Compensation
Salary is competitive and is commensurate with experience.
Location
Classes are held during weekends in Northern Virginia (most likely in the Tysons area).
