The person hired for the Cost Accounting Manager position will be responsible for leading a remote team of 6 analysts who perform the cost accounting activities for the US Factory and Service operations. In this position, the person will be responsible for reviewing, mentoring, and other support of the US cost accounting team’s work. This position will also liaison with US Segment Finance and FP&A functions to assist in their Controlling responsibilities with Operations. This position will report to current US Sr. Cost Accounting Manager.Cost Accounting Manager

Leads a remote team of 6 Cost Analysts who are responsible for the following US Factory and Service accounting activities:

• Inventory/Product line accounting, Aging, E&O, Inventory Audit over-sight.
• Profit in inventory elimination (Global Calculation)
• Standard cost inventory valuation.
• I/C inventory transactions.
• Warranty Provision Accounting.
• Service Accounting.
• Prepaid Expenses (IP / Licensing royalties)
• Cost Accounting (Variances)
• Other COGS (non-Mfg. related)
• 3rd Party Contract management
• Distributor Commissions
• Provides data or other support schedules related to internal and external audit requests
• Supports process improvements or recommends process improvements associated with the Cost Accounting systems.
• Reviews team members journal entries, account reconciliations.
• Provides support or guidance, as needed, on Cost Accounting for the direct reports, as well as the Business.
• Mentors /develops the staff, as needed.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in Manufacturing (Factory) with associated Service support.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant managerial experience.
• Product Line Analysis (Revenue and Cost) experience is desirable.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a team-oriented environment, often cross-functional.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation preparation and delivery skills are mandatory, particularly with business leaders
• Highly collaborative, team oriented, and comfortable leading cross-functional projects under tight timelines
• Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills and strong ability to navigate through ambiguity.
• Candidate with SAP experience as end user is preferred.

The base pay range for this position is

Min $102,400 – Max $184,300

The pay wage range shown is based on the job posting’s primary location. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
