Job Summary
The Department of Chemistry and Geosciences in the College of Science and Mathematics seeks applicants for a non-tenure track faculty position in Geosciences for the 2024-2025 academic year.The Department of Chemistry and Geosciences in the College of Science and Mathematics seeks applicants for a non-tenure track faculty position in Geosciences for the 2024-2025 academic year. Appointment will begin August 1, 2024, and end May 12, 2025.The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in the candidate’s area of expertise and providing service to the department, college, and University.
Our Environmental Geosciences program is comprised of faculty teaching a broad range of subjects for both non-majors and Environmental Geosciences majors. We offer degree options in Geology, Geography, Environmental Sustainability, Natural Hazards Management, Geospatial Technology and Urban Planning, and Environmental and Climate Sciences.
We seek a broadly trained geologist to teach introductory geology courses with labs and upper-level courses of mineralogy or structural geology. Additional consideration will be given to candidates that can also teach courses to support new tracks of study in Natural Hazards Management, Environmental and Climate Sciences, or Environmental Sustainability.
