U.S. Bank is hiring! The HR Employee Services team is looking for an HR Employee Service Admin – Leave of Absence Specialist. This position plays a key role in a team supporting the timely and accurate pay and reporting of approximately 1,500+ U.S. Bank employees in the United States who are on a leave of absence each month including adherence to all regulatory guidelines. This includes coordination of the following leaves: short-term disability, worker’s compensation, long-term disability, military leave, parental, and unpaid leave.
About the role:
Processes leaves using knowledge of departmental procedures, federal, state and local disability, wage and hour, family and medical leave, sick leave laws, workers compensation laws, and company policies; including appropriate work documentation.
Reviews exception and audit reports. Identifies and takes appropriate actions.
Corrects employee and leave information as needed to ensure data accuracy.
Reviews, researches and processes transactions and answers complex questions regarding leave and payroll issues.
Uses Case Management system and partners with leaves vendor, HR Service Center, and supervisors, assisting with investigations and identifying timely solutions on escalated issues to ensure HR Shared Services SLAs have been met.
Maintains a detailed knowledge of federal and state laws and company policies and procedures affecting leaves and payroll.
Maintains sensitive payroll and leaves information with a high degree of confidentiality.
Location: This role is located at the Robbinsdale office. This role is hybrid, blending time spent in the office with remote work.
Basic Qualifications
Two-year college or post-secondary coursework in related field or applicable work experience
One to three years of experience in Human Resources or other applicable customer service role(s)
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree
Established vocabulary of general HR terminology (recruitment, payroll, benefits)
Payroll experience
Keen eye for detail
Exceptional customer service skills
Commitment to maintaining the highest level of confidentiality when dealing with personal information, compensation and benefit information
