Job Summary:
The Teaching, Learning and Technologist Specialist plays an important role in supporting the instructional goals of the School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM). This position requires the ability and willingness to fully collaborate with and interact as part of a team within and across SVM departments. This position demands excellent communication skills and a strong determination to improve not only their professional skills, but also the overall impact of the courses they participate in. This position works closely with dozens of faculty and hundreds of students, providing customer service, safety and laboratory material assistance.
This is a demanding position, requiring the ability to spend many hours on your feet at a time, repetitively lifting at least 40 pounds and, at times, working odd or extended hours. The individual hired must be able to work around small and large animal cadavers and teaching specimens, and assist in the harvest and preservation of tissues. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, and have some experience with Canvas, and possess an interest in creating educational content and models. This position will need to ensure the safe storage, collection, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste; manage inventory, place orders and perform quality control for equipment, spaces and materials/supplies.

Qualifications:
Prefer individual who has two years of experience for each of the following: Small animal handling. Experience participating and assisting in the instruction of small animal veterinary, anesthesia, induction, surgical preparation, and patient recovery.
License/Certification:
