Job Summary:
The Department of Surgery is recruiting for a Faculty Program Associate to support our Faculty Development and Wellness efforts. This dynamic role supports and coordinates a variety of annual faculty processes, develops and supports Wellness activities, supports communication related to Wellness, Climate, and Culture, and helps contribute to other faculty initiatives in partnership with the Vice Chair for of Academic Affairs and Faculty Development.
The incumbent will demonstrate exceptional customer service by establishing and maintaining effective professional relationships with all faculty, staff, and colleagues within the School of Medicine and Public Health and the UW-Madison. These responsibilities require considerable independence in decision making and decisive action. The incumbent is expected to use a considerable amount of individual initiative and judgment, exercising a high level of problem solving, adherence to deadlines and follow-up. The successful candidate will be dynamic, energetic, and inviting in representing the faculty of the Department of Surgery.

Qualifications:
Required:
* At least 1 year of providing administrative or programmatic support.
* Professional level and highly efficient use of Microsoft Office.
* Ability to work independently while managing a flow of communication with and to diverse stakeholders.
* The position further requires attention to detail and accuracy; ability to interpret and apply complex rules and requirements; excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills; effective written and oral communication skills; confidentiality and professionalism; flexibility and adaptability.
Preferred:
* Experience in an academic setting.
* Experience with academic faculty promotions or faculty development.
* Experience related to wellness initiatives.

The starting salary for the position is $65,000, but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
