Job Summary
The person chosen for this position will help increase student retention, promote campus safety, and encourage student development and progress to graduation through developmental counseling. Primary duties and responsibilities are to provide individual and group counseling for students with emotional or personal problems or conditions. Perform assessments with students referred by faculty, staff, parents, or other students to determine if they are a danger to themselves or others or unable to care for themselves; work with counseling staff and administrators to help manage situations where students are in an emotional or behavioral crisis that puts them or others at risk. Participate in the rotational On-call, after-hours emergency as needed by the department. Participate in walk-in/the same counseling as assigned. This position also provides outreach to students via tabling, classroom presentations, and faculty/staff presentations as needed.

Must have earned a Master’s degree in counseling or related field with the successful completion of a clinical internship. Must be a licensed professional counselor in the state of Georgia or license eligible in Georgia in three (3) years/a licensed associate professional counselor or the equivalent in a US state.

Salary Range
$45,056.00 – $55,000.00 annually, paid on a monthly basis.
