The Digital Experience and Web Specialist plays an essential role in the success of strategic enrollment initiatives for all eCore and eMajor programs among the 23 USG eCampus partner institutions, supporting innovative and creative strategies to achieve program visibility and engagement for prospective students. This individual will play an important role in USG eCampus’s next generation of services, geared towards enhancing the user experience across platforms. As eCampus expands both programs and interfaces, it is increasingly critical that messaging is aligned, consistent and customer-focused. Using data-driven information, both quantitative and qualitative, this individual will enhance recruitment functions to ensure that opportunities for enrollment and retention are maximized in digital spaces and at events.
Responsibilities
Provide external relations support using multiple modalities, including web content, email, video, social media and events. 20%
Collaborate with team members and end users to analyze, troubleshoot, test, and resolve identified issues in external-facing web and digital media presences and develop/implement modifications and enhancements. 20%
Collect user feedback on the User Experience at recruitment and external relations events, using qualitative and quantitative information to identify expectations and enhance online interactions. Conduct competitive analyses to ascertain value and usability for websites. 20%
Maintain content integrity and brand management on externalfacing websites, conducting random audits of live site content. Creatively maintain content and updates for assigned websites across platforms, working collaboratively with marketing and web development. 15 percent Identify and present innovative ideas and opportunities for new projects, applications, solutions, modifications and enhancements for external relations and recruitment. 5 percent Contribute to, organize and maintain image collection for recruitment and external relations. 5 percent Expand front-end development knowledge. 5 percent Conduct common duties essential to support of eCampus student success including outreach. 5 percent Other duties as assigned by Associate Dean. 5%
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field. Familiarity with UX and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) 1-2 Years Experience in Web Design and/or Front-End Development – Knowledge and experience with html, css, javascript. – Exemplary writing, grammatical, proofreading, speaking and research skills – Digital photography skills – Ability to solve problems quickly, manage multiple tasks and to meet deadlines in a timely fashion with the ability to convey technical information in a language that is understood by non-technical people – Ability to apply both responsive and adaptive layout design techniques, with an understanding of the intersection of brand management and user experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors Degree
Advanced certifications and/or graduate-level work in digital media, web development, and/or user-experience Solid experience taking online, for-credit courses as a student Six or more months experience in higher education.
