The University of Washington’s Information School is seeking an Senior HR Assistant for Guest Faculty to provide specialized technical and human resources administrative support to the Information School’s (iSchool) Academics HR team within the Office of Academic Services. This position supports the hiring and HR onboarding process for approximately 40-50 guest faculty positions on a quarterly basis for a rapidly growing school. In addition, the individual in this role provides back-up support as part of the Academics HR team for the hiring of academic student employees.
The Academics HR team is responsible for the end to end quarterly hiring of guest faculty, teaching and research assistants, and all hourly academic student employees and manages all annual PhD student appointments. Embedded within the Office of Academic Services, Academics HR is uniquely poised to efficiently process and support these hiring needs for all four iSchool degree programs. The team collaborates and engages with the other iSchool human resources teams – Staff HR and Faculty HR – as part of the overall iSchool Human Resources Network.

Typically, a 40-hour, 5-days per week position in a standard office environment. Hybrid schedules may be considered. This position is overtime eligible. To effectively complete timeline-driven projects and deadlines, flexibility in schedule and additional hours beyond standard office hours may be required.
