The Cultural Resilience Informatics and Analysis (CURIA) Lab at the University of Virginia seeks a part-time Research Assistant. The position involves assisting Professor Fiona Greenland with online data collection and qualitative coding in a project focused on human rights and climate change. Travel is not required. Essential skills: Qualitative data coding (for example, NVivo, MAXQDA, Atlas.ti), digital archival search and retrieve.
Desired skills: Familiarity with international human rights institutions, training in critical environmental theory, linguistic capacity in relevant regional languages (including French, Arabic, Urdu).
Work Hours: Min. 15 hours/week

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Experience: 5 years. Work performed during post-BA training (i.e., during a Master’s program) will be considered.

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
