The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia invites applications for three full-time, Research Associate positions beginning August 2023 and beyond. The Postdoctoral Research Associates (PRA) advance research, creative practice, and teaching related to business disciplines. Up to two PRA positions may be supported by the university-wide Mellon Foundation Grant on Race, Place, and Equity. Another position will be supported by McIntire.

Postdoctoral Research Associate Support
The University, and McIntire are committed to providing PRAs with support for research, teaching, and professional development. Each PRA will be matched with a faculty mentor who will work directly with the PRA. Faculty mentors will also assist PRAs in making connections with others in the UVA community to facilitate community engagement and additional research collaborations.
PRAs funded under this program will be appointed for one year with an expectation of renewal for a second year, contingent upon a successful annual review. In addition to salary and benefits, the program will allocate a research fund for each PRA.
Requirements
Applicants must have a terminal (Ph.D.) degree before starting the research associate role. The school specifically seeks two different kinds of applicants:
– We seek scholars that have relevant scholarly or creative focus in race, diversity, equity and/or inclusion.
– We are also seeking scholars that work in a wide-variety of business disciplines (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Management, and Information Systems).
