Key duties and responsibilities
The Associate/Assistant AD for Compliance researches, plans, documents, and executes operational activities of the Athletics Program. They are knowledgeable about complex legal and regulatory issues potentially impacting University operations, have solid grasp of strategic priorities, and operate with considerable autonomy. They have experience and depth of knowledge, and may interface with governmental entities by submitting reports and other required documentation, and handling on-site audits.
The Associate/Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance is responsible for work required to comply with all NCAA, ACC and University rules and regulations. The incumbent provides pertinent and timely compliance information to various internal and external constituencies, responding to questions and interpreting regulations when necessary. The incumbent will also assist with other compliance duties that support the overall objectives of the compliance program.
The Associate/Assistant AD for Compliance routinely analyzes situations, provides interpretation, identifies recommendations, initiates action, and provides guidance on all matters pertaining to their duties. They frequently coordinate meetings, disseminate information, and provide instruction to various internal and external constituencies. The Associate/Assistant AD for Compliance monitors processes and systems to ensure compliance with rules and regulations; uses initiative and experience to resolve issues pertaining to the comprehensive compliance program; and works closely with individuals and groups in an effort to build relationships and promote the compliance program. They are accountable for NCAA, ACC and University rules and regulations and submitting documentation as required by governing bodies and work under general supervision and reports to the Associate Athletics Director for Governance & Regulatory Affairs.

Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
Experience: Experience: Four or more years of relevant experience.
Licensure: Subject matter licensure may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Juris Doctor or relevant Master’s Degree
