Posting Summary
Perform variety of custodial cleaning services, in a team setting, to Residential Life buildings in support of University facilities. Clean and maintain floor surfaces: dust mop, sweep, wet mop, top scrub and buff floors and periodically strip floors of finish using powered scrubbing and burnishing machines. Clean water fountains, clean waste receptacles, and wash windows. Maintain safe and clean living, learning and work environment. Remove trash and recycled items. May respond to after-hours emergency calls. May operate University vehicle. Reporting to the manager of Residential Life, this position requires active engagement in learning and practicing principles of social justice and inclusion, environmental sustainability and delivering great customer service.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Elementary school education required. Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one and driver’s check may be required. Lifting of up to 50 lbs. and pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs. occasionally required, specific physical requirements may apply based on specific job functions. Initial employment contingent upon successful completion of physical screening and background check. Demonstrated ongoing commitment to workplace diversity, sustainability and delivering exceptional value and great experience to customers.
