Posting Summary
Provide highly technical part time support for 1) high performance computing Bioinformatics Core Facility infrastructure pipelines, and 2) maintenance of python platform for analysis of sequencing data; 3) Development of novel solutions for core facility users in scientific high performance computing and machine learning in a bioinformatics setting; and 4) instruction for other team members on highly technical computing hardware and software systems.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Master’s degree in bioinformatics, computer science, statistics, complex systems, or other relevant area; and three to five years of experience. Experience with interacting with high-performance computing clusters, and coding languages, specifically R and Python, is required.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience in biomedical research preferred.
