Posting Summary
Oversee and provide leadership in facilitating complex administrative/business operations for the billing and accounts receivable (AR) component of Sponsored Project Administration. Influence and support University organizational processes and goals in the areas of
sponsored projects compliance, invoicing, and AR collections. Coordinate administrative functions associated with three business/accounting specialists. Perform regular analyses and accounting of billed and unbilled AR and deferred revenue for sponsored projects. Provide functional support and manage continuous improvement activities for the grants, billing, and AR modules of the PeopleSoft ERP system. Serve as liaison to internal and external constituents on complex internal/external policy, procedural, and process information.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree and six years of government, non-profit, or higher education experience or equivalent.
Knowledge of federal regulations, sponsor guidelines, and the Federal Office of Management and Budget Uniform Guidance, as they relate to sponsored project activity.
Experience in complex financial research administration, sponsored project accounting, accounts receivable management and ERP system(s).
Significant knowledge and experience in sponsored project accounting and sponsored cash management with significant implications for financial, regulatory and compliance oversight.
Ability to work effectively with multiple priorities in a high-volume environment within tight timelines and deadline pressure.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical skills and effective presentation skills.
Considerable critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Experience in employee supervision.
Evidence of leadership and ability to evaluate and direct the work of others, with a commitment to mentoring, coaching, and developing a team.
Desirable Qualifications
Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline.
Designation as a certified research administrator, or certified financial research administrator, or certified public accountant
Familiarity with and working knowledge of financial management systems (such as PeopleSoft).

This position is eligible for 100% remote work.
Candidates must complete a 6-month probationary period.
Special Conditions
A probationary period may be required, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees

Hiring Min (Represents full-time (12 months, 1.0 FTE) equivalent salary. Must be prorated for jobs less than 12 months or 1.0FTE (Salary/12 x # of months x FTE)): 64000.00
Payband Max (Represents full-time (12 months, 1.0 FTE) equivalent salary. Must be prorated for jobs less than 12 months or 1.0FTE (Salary/12 x # of months x FTE)): 121600.00
