CEMS Purchasing Specialist

Posting Summary:
Reallocate faculty purcards and ensure appropriate documentation is uploaded and retained. Ensure travel and purchasing policies are adhered to. Perform regular audits of the CEMS purcards and requisitions across all departments. Review purchases across the College ensuring appropriate documentation is in place, applicable University policies and procedures were followed, and expenses were allowable and appropriate. Perform account reconciliation with CEMS Dean’s Office partners and SPA 2.0. Perform operating cost transfers including untimely cost transfers as necessary, allowable, and appropriate. Perform Senior Design project team purchasing. Perform Senior design project team non-sponsored billing and account reconciliation. Provide financial support and reporting to Senior Design faculty leadership. Participate in CEMS Dean’s Office business team performing special purchasing, analysis, HR, and payroll projects as needed throughout the year during periods of high volume or staff absences.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business related field and one to three years of financial management experience required. Strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure required.
Desirable Qualifications:
Experience with PeopleSoft Financials and HCM system. Experience working with UVM Purchasing and Disbursement Teams. Experience working with Excel strongly desired.

Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Background Check required for this position
