CAS Professional Advisor

Posting Summary:
Provide academic advising to first-year and sophomore undergraduates in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) in assigned majors. Primary responsibilities include: meetings with students, tracking all advising communications and interactions, and participation in CAS student services-related activities and initiatives. Serve as liaison between advisees and departmental faculty as students explore academic options.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):
Bachelor’s degree and one to three years of progressively responsible experience in student services required. Familiarity with Student Information Systems, database and spreadsheet applications and customer service based technology systems. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice, and inclusion, and demonstrated ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Desirable Qualifications:
Direct experience with students in a higher education setting. Experience with higher education student information databases.
