Award Acceptance Officer

Posting Summary:
As an active member of the Sponsored Project Administration grant lifecycle team, serve as the University’s primary administrative liaison with faculty, sponsors, and collaborating organizations during the award review, negotiation, and acceptance processes. Review draft award documentation for compliance with applicable proposal and sponsor-specific guidelines, federal regulations, university policies and procedures, and the corresponding proposal. Represent the University and faculty investigators in negotiations with sponsors. Prepare awards for set up. Provide extraordinary service, outreach, and training to the University research community, collaborating organizations, and external sponsors. Collaborate with internal and external colleagues to problem-solve proposal and award-specific issues.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):
Bachelor’s degree and two to three years of government, non-profit or higher education experience required. Experience in research administration, grant and contract negotiation required. Budget building and spreadsheet proficiency required. Demonstrated customer service experience required. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written required. Analytical skills and effective presentation skills required.
