Your opportunity:
The Manager, Global Alumni Engagement & Inter-portfolio Initiatives is responsible for the development of compelling inter-portfolio initiatives in collaboration with Presidential and Vice-Presidential portfolios across U of T’s three campuses. The Manager provides insight on how the U of T’s expansive network of International Alumni and Donors can be mobilized in supportof U of T’s international mandate for mutual benefit. The Manager establishes Alumni engagement strategies in support of comprehensive and project specific inter-portfolio campaigns, and supports national and international student recruitment goals. The Manager will develop and implement programs and initiatives in partnership with internal University stakeholders that support and advance strategic objectives across Presidential and Vice-Presidential portfolios. The Manager develops innovative strategies in recruiting Alumni in a variety of inter-portfolio initiatives, and facilitates enlistment of alumni who are able and willing to support U of T’s national and international student recruitment goals. The Manager is also responsible for implementing the Alumni Innovator Engagement Framework under the direction of the Director, Global Alumni Engagement & Inter-portfolio Initiatives and in partnership with the Office of the Vice-President Research & Innovation (U of T Entrepreneurship). The Manager will develop knowledge of key alumni influencers, prospects, donors and volunteers in priority markets and pro-actively collaborate with development, alumni relations and university partners to create engagement opportunities for these alumni. It isthrough proactive collaboration with Development colleagues that the incumbent will identify prospects and align volunteer engagement initiatives with campaign cultivation and stewardship objectives. They will also develop and implement the volunteer recruitment process of alumni and donor volunteers in support of student recruitment and inter-portfolio initiatives; Develop, implement and maintain high-touch communication, cultivation and stewardship plans for alumni and volunteer donors that advance strategic objectives; and will build and strengthen the University of Toronto’s Entrepreneurship brand and ecosystem among Alumni and Donors by facilitating their engagement in volunteer and mentorship opportunities. The Manager will also develop and maintain relationships with contacts whose cooperation is important to the University.
In collaboration with Presidential and Vice-Presidential portfolios, the incumbent facilitates alumni activities and initiatives, and measures the effectiveness of these efforts by analysis of alumni engagement and satisfaction, the impact of alumni engagement on referrals, leads, and yields, and the increase in UofT’s profile within priority markets where alumni are active.

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:
USW Pay Band 14 — $81,000 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $103,588. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
