Description
The University of Tennessee’s Career Gateway is looking to fill the temporary assignment of Merchandise Associate with the Vol Shop Distribution Center. Through temporary assignment placements, Career Gateway allows the opportunity to work with various departments while gaining valuable work experience. Each assignment has differing pay rates, work schedules, and lengths of assignments. Note the length of assignment is subject to change. Qualifications
The length of this assignment is approximately 4 months, the work schedule is M-F 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (on-site) and the pay rate is $15.00/hour.
Job Responsibilities
Loading and unloading trucks from various trucking companies. Sorting the boxes by purchase order number. Verifying that it is UT Knoxville merchandise. Majority of the merchandise is hand unloading a box at a time. Freight is unloaded with a pallet jack or forklift, however, a box count has to be done.
Sorting merchandise, verifying stock numbers, quantity, and pricing of merchandise. After receiving has finished each order, reboxing merchandise designated for specific store locations.
