The School of Nursing at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga
(UTC) seeks a full time, 9-month faculty member for a nontenure-track, clinical faculty position. The School of Nursing offers the BSN and
DNP degrees in nursing and embraces the shared governance model as well as Boyer’s Model of scholarship.

Position: Clinical
Assistant Professor, Nontenure Track

Effective Date: August 1, 2023

Responsibilities:

• Teaching/instruction using a
  variety of methodologies including clinical education.
• Assist in monitoring and supporting learner success and collaborate with
  curriculum development and revisions when needed.
• Advise students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
• Engage in scholarship activities appropriate for rank.
• Participate in the School of Nursing, College and University service
  and/or professional service appropriate for rank.

Qualifications:

• Current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in TN
  or a compact state
• Recent clinical experience working with clients in acute care settings, medical-surgical nursing at all levels
  preferred
• Experience teaching in an academic environment in clinical instruction preferred
• Master’s degree in nursing.
  Doctoral preparation in nursing or related field preferred
• Will consider a Bachelor of Science in Nursing if the candidate is
  currently enrolled in a master’s or Doctoral program and has completed 18 hours of course work
• Experience in instruction using
  simulation preferred
