Assistant Professor Electrical Engineering
The University of St. Thomas (UST), a private Catholic university committed to the liberal arts and the religious and intellectual tradition of Catholic higher education invites applications from outstanding candidates for a full-time Assistant Professor position in Electrical Engineering in the Department of Physics and Engineering. Start date for the position is the fall 2022 semester.
General responsibilities for the position include: (1) teaching 24 contact hours per academic year, (2) conducting research in electrical engineering involving and suited for undergraduate student participation, and (3) service activities as needed by the department and the University. Required: Ph.D. in electrical engineering; ability to effectively communicate and work with faculty, staff, and students; and ability to develop experiments for electrical engineering laboratories. Industry experience and a professional engineer’s license (P.E.) preferred.
Interested candidates must provide the following: (1) a comprehensive CV and cover letter, (2) a statement demonstrating willingness to support the tenets of Catholic higher education as articulated in Ex Corde Ecclesiae, (3) philosophy of teaching, (4) research proposal involving undergraduate students, (5) and the names and contact information of three professional references.
