Advertised Job Summary:
Individual will serve as the Quality Assurance Technician for the FL Aquatic Preserves Continuous Water Quality Monitoring Program (CWQMP) who will be responsible for the quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) of the CWQMP, including the equipment maintenance program and field audits. This position will be located at a FL AP site in the State of Florida. Duties include organization and planning of CWQMP programs and activities; management of data services and support operations; oversight of the CWQMP database (data, structure, development); oversight of website and data analysis/display development; oversight of data collection, QAQC protocols, and QAQC tool development.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree and 4 years related program experience or a bachelor’s degree and 6 years related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
A B.S. in Marine Science or other environmental field and two years of relevant work experience in database management are required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Access) is required.
Ability to effectively communicate with scientists verbally and in writing.
Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
