Detailed Description:
The Director of the Center for Health and Wellness Promotion is responsible for the creation and on-going development of a comprehensive health promotion program. The Director will manage university-wide health promotion efforts including the continued development of the mental health and life skills programs, activities, services, and the assessment of all wellness promotion initiatives. The Director will participate in the CARE on call process. The Director will oversee mandated educational trainings for the entire USD student community. The Director is responsible for working with campus partners in the development and implementation of student learning outcomes and strategic planning. This position oversees student wellness peer education program development and growth. The position provides direct supervision of professional staff and oversight of supervision of graduate assistants and student employees. This position will develop and maintain campus partnerships, serve as a primary Student Wellness liaison, and serve as a representative of Student Wellness on campus and community-based committees. This position is also responsible for the coordination and facilitation of Student Wellness outreach efforts and the implementation of health promotion strategic goals and assessment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage university-wide health promotion and wellness outreach efforts
Supervision and Administrative Responsibilities
Develop and provide leadership to USD Wellness Area’s peer education programs
Manage assessment initiatives and mandatory reporting requirements within the Student Wellness Area

Posting Salary:
$5,373.34 – $7,750.00 per month; Excellent Benefits

The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience, education and other factors including departmental budget.
