Please note:
-Positions that work less than .75 FTE (1,560 hours per year) do not qualify for long-term disability or education benefits.
-Positions that work less than .50 FTE (1,040 hours per year) will accrue paid sick leave but are not eligible for additional benefits.
-Temporary positions that work at least .50 FTE (1,040 hours per year) will be eligible for benefits after 6 months of continuous employment.
To be considered for this role, a candidate must:
• Post-secondary education preferred; high school diploma required.
• Five or more years of administrative support experience required.
• Candidates will have the ability to:
– Consistently represent the Vice President and university in a professional manner, always maintaining composure and maintaining positive working relationships. Professional, personable, and friendly demeanor. Excellent “customer service” skills.
– Quick learner who is comfortable and skilled with fast-paced instructions and work production.
– Work independently, solve problems, handle confidential information, and navigate sensitive situations.
– Manage and estimate budgets.
• Candidates will possess:
– High level of attention to details and accuracy
– Exceptional organizational skills, initiative, follow-through, ability to multi-task and switch gears as needed. Must work well under time constraints and meet deadlines.
– Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing. Must have reliable written and grammatical skills
– Superior scheduling competencies
• Respectfully work, communicate, and provide leadership within a diverse campus community.
Compensation and Benefits:
• The pay range for this position is $24.00 to $26.22 per hour.Decisions about starting salaries are made based on the extent and relatedness of the candidate’s education and experience and on internal equity and market considerations.
• This position is non-exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
