Summary
This role manage the day-to-day operations for several research protocols. They will oversee existing project activities,
supporting the implementation of new projects and meeting timelines involved in the data sets collection. manage data using different tools,
systems and statistical software package and submit protocol modifications and continuing reviews to the IRB as needed, perform literature
review, and write reports and sections of grant proposals and manuscripts for publication. There will also be an opportunity to participate
in the design, conduct, analysis and writing of clinical research studies, along with the production of tables and figures.

Job Responsibilities
- This position will provide critical research and administrative support and
coordination for two faculty in the Division of General Internal Medicine-Robert Burke and Eric Roberts-to help them expand and carry out
their extramurally funded research programs. Primary responsibilities of this position include providing administrative, organizational,
research coordination and assistance to faculty in the Division. This will include performing a variety of research and administrative tasks
including, but not limited to: performing research assistance for projects (e.g., literature reviews, downloading and cleaning public data
files in programs such as Excel and STATA); coordinating team meetings; attending team meetings and taking notes; developing meeting agendas
and post-meeting memoranda; submitting and managing regulatory documents such as Institutional Review Board and Data Use Agreements; and
other general assistance managing research projects. - We are seeking to hire a Senior Research Coordinator for federally funded
research projects in the Division of General Internal Medicine. The primary responsibility of this position is to support two principal
investigators through coordination of studies dedicated to improving the outcomes of older adults, primarily though evaluation of health
policy/payment policy initiatives. For example, one project evaluates the implications of a new way of paying health care organizations for
their performance. Others evaluate ways to improve access to care for rural older adults, and the impact of structural racism on hospital
financing.In this position, the successful candidate will work on regulatory issues related to these studies (IRB approvals, Data
Use Agreements, budgeting), project management and coordination (managing scheduling and appropriate progress on these projects), and
supporting dissemination of products through submission of peer-reviewed publications and information for lay audiences. There are
opportunities to gain additional experience in dataset management and analysis, as well as qualitative methods.These projects do
not involve recruitment of patients or clinical trials. This position is funded for up to four years contingent upon satisfactory
research progress.
Qualifications
The Senior Research Coordinator position requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 3-4 years
of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Masters degree in a health-related field. An ideal
candidate will have exceptional organizational and communication skills, experience with regulatory issues related to health services
research such as requesting and managing secondary data sources, gathering qualitative data and analysis of these data, and experience with
regulatory concerns regarding multi-site research projects.
