Job Description Summary
Initiate, contribute to, and oversee the development of multiple projects, devices, and study protocols under the guidance of the Principal Investigator. Create literature, reports, manuscripts, and publications to support funding opportunities. Supervise and provide training to staff members. Develop and implement safety procedures in the laboratory, including the creation and enforcement of new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and protocols to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Take charge of biosafety protocols, chemical hygiene plans, and fire safety, as well as department certification clearance. Conduct interviews and evaluations for new laboratory members. Contribute to technical grant writing, encompassing budget preparation, lay summaries, biosketch formatting, equipment lists, and facility descriptions. Manage the maintenance of laboratory equipment and oversee inventory and ordering of supplies. Establish and nurture relationships with research partners, research sites, sales representatives, regulatory offices, and affiliated organizations as part of laboratory management. Managerial responsibilities will include evaluation and developing training plan for students and junior hires. Inspecting new and experimental technological tools.
