Our lab carries out clinical and translational research using structural, functional, and physiological magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) neuroimaging methods, with a focus on cerebral blood flow as a biomarker of cerebrovascular integrity and neural activity. We analyze both data acquired locally and data aggregated from large national and international neuroimaging datasets.Job Description
The ideal candidate will have an interest in biomedical research, be enthusiastic and highly motivated to participate in team science, have strong computing skills including coding in Matlab/Python/R, and experience in machine learning methods. This position offers the opportunity to participate in an innovative research environment, gain hands-on experience with a variety of image analysis techniques, learn about the neuroscience of aging and dementia, and make critical contributions to primary research publications and grant proposals, including publishing as first author where appropriate.
A Research Specialist A would primarily focus on Imaging Research, Data Interpretation, and Manuscript Preparation with training, as they develop experience with both areas. A Research Specialist B would be expected to already have experience in these areas and be able to take on higher level tasks immediately, including signal processing or neuroimaging data, software development of custom image analysis pipelines, and data interpretation, generation of figures and tables, and manuscript preparation.
