We are seeking a Research Project Manager A. This position reports to the Director of Clinical Research and works closely with principal investigators in the department . The primary function is to manage complex clinical trials, to facilitate, promote, and ensure good clinical practice in the conduct of research protocols. Independently manage different phases of complex clinical trials, supervise clinical research studies, and provide operational support for research activities in the Clinical Research Unit (CRU). The Research Project Manager A is responsible for execution of study protocols, prioritizing efforts of the study team, overseeing timely and accurate data collection, research billing, and development of standard operating procedures (SOPs). Will oversee human subject protection policies and procedures, be involved in new study startups, actively manage ongoing projects, troubleshoot operational issues, report study progress, and assist with all aspects of research coordinators’ work during their absences or when a coordinator’s workload exceeds capacity. Duties include general operations support, staff onboarding and ongoing training activities, event and meeting coordination, conferences support and follow-up, expense tracking, reimbursements, and invoicing as needed. This position will include a supervisory role for initial and ongoing training of clinical research coordinators, research assistants and summer interns within the CRU and assists in staff performance plans. The Research Project Manager will take a leadership role in managing the detailed operations of projects; ensure that studies/research are conducted safely and according to protocol.
