Job Description Summary
The Reconceptualizing Gender and Health (RGH) project is creating an innovative theoretical framework to identify key interpersonal, institutional and structural mechanisms through which conformity and non-conformity to gender expectations shape health. Our goal is to create tools and actionable information to inform health equity activities. Funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, RGH is a two-year research project located in the SexGen Lab at the School of Social Policy and Practice.
Under the direction of RGH’s co-principal investigator and director, the Research Coordinator provides administrative and research support to the RGH project, including coordinating the day-to-day operations of the project and participant recruitment. They will manage and track qualitative data coding using NVivo 14 software, as well as be responsible for outreach to community organizations to support recruitment and coordinate recruitment postings on the project’s social media accounts. The Research Coordinator will also assist with qualitative interview transcription, participant intake, and report/grant proposal writing. The Research Coordinator must be detail-oriented and able to work independently; and have an understanding of and comfort with a wide range of gender and health experiences. The Research Coordinator must adhere to confidentiality requirements of the research and the tenets of the project’s community commitment. Experience with qualitative research a plus, including using a qualitative data analysis software package, ideally NVivo.
The position is for 20 hours/week, largely remote, and is contingent upon grant funding.
