Job Description Summary
Provides health care services on a full-time basis in the Shore Medical Center and Pennsylvania Hospital. Develops and maintains a robust elective clinical neurosurgery practice focused on spine. Covers general neurosurgery call at Shore Medical Center, anticipated at a frequency of every other week, with the expectation that the clinician will retain patients at SMC when clinically appropriate. Collaborates with Penn Neurosurgery colleagues to transfer complex cranial and spine patients better suited for care at Penn Medicine’s Philadelphia hospitals based on departmental standards of care, with the option to lead or participate in the care of spine patients transferred to Philadelphia, as appropriate. Teaches Penn Neurosurgery residents and spine fellows at Pennsylvania Hospital. Participates routinely and actively in Penn Neurosurgery departmental teaching conferences. Participates in collaborative clinical research in spine surgery, with support from the Neurosurgery Clinical Research Division (NCRD)

Qualifications
M.D.; License to practice medicine without restriction or limitation in Pennsylvania; DEA Licensure. Must be Board Eligible/Board Ceritified. 0-1 year of work experience in the field of Neurosurgery.
