Interventional Cardiologist, Assistant Professor

The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Board certified/Board eligible in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology is required.
Teaching responsibilities may include training medical students and medical residents, including training of cardiovascular fellows in interventional procedures.
Clinical responsibilities may include performing and interpreting invasive (non-interventional) cardiac catheterization studies (cardiac catheterization laboratory at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania), percutaneous coronary care unit and inpatient consultative services. Specific qualifications include training and ability to independently perform coronary and peripheral interventions.
Applicants must have subspecialty training and documented skills in all aspects of diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization procedures. In addition, experience and documentation of proficiency in all aspects of structural heart disease, both diagnosis and therapeutic intervention are required.
