This role ensures compliance and integrity of business processes including resource management, and financial activity. The Associate Director for Administration and Finance, in close partnership with Provost Administrative Affairs (PAA,) has oversight over human resource functions including hiring and on-boarding processes, payroll and leave policies, and staff performance/merit increase processes. Additionally, the AD-A&F supports the Director and central University Life administration in organizational effectiveness by monitoring staff professional development participation, participating in on-going assessment, and resource allocation.
This role also works closely with the PAA finance team to prepare budgets, ensure compliance with established procedures; and participates in relevant committees and working groups to keep the Director apprised of financial and administrative updates. Supports the Director and AVP for Strategic Planning as necessary including developing clear and accurate reports for forecasting and strategic planning. The AD- A&F supervises the financial and administrative support staff of the department (administrative assistant/office manager and coordinator for finance and administration) and serves the leadership team through policy development and oversight of departmental communication, and effective financial stewardship of Penn Student Agencies.Job Description
