Assistant Professor Academic Clinician – Movement Disorders Neurologist

The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of movement disorders including DBS programming, botulinum toxin injections in a clinical setting. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. The successful candidate must be board certified or eligible in Neurology. Candidates who have completed a Fellowship in Movements Disorders will be highly considered.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, residents and fellows in clinic and on bedside rounds for the consult and inpatient services. Teaching will be predominantly in the Movement Disorders including diagnosis, treatment with botulinum toxin and neurostimulator programming.
Clinical responsibilities may include attending in outpatient clinic of the Movement Disorders Center and other outpatient sites. There will be approximately 1-2 weeks per year of attending on the inpatient neurology services and approximately 5-10 sessions supervising residents in their clinic.
Opportunities for participation in clinical and translational research including clinical trials and observational studies, reviews, and expert consensus reports may present themselves.
