Job Description Summary
The Administrative Coordinator for the Division of University Life central office plays in integral public facing role and is responsible for front office management and general administrative duties related to the effective operation of the office. The Administrative Coordinator provides expert front desk reception coverage and administrative support including appropriately directing and/or logging student, parent, and other inquiries, updating the central University Life website and events listing, reporting and tracking building maintenance needs, and insuring welcoming, professional office conditions.
This role works closely with and receives day to day direction from the University Life leadership team, Executive Director for Strategic Initiatives and the Executive Assistant to the Vice Provost for University Life. The ability to handle confidential and highly sensitive information and drive to perform complex tasks independently and with great attention to detail are essential in this position.

Qualifications:
BS preferred, with 3-5 years of administrative experience preferably in an academic environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong interpersonal, communication and telecommunication skills required. Ability to listen and communicate effectively and to manage extremely sensitive issues with compassion, confidentiality, and discretion. Ability to handle a variety of stressful situations simultaneously. Knowledge of University policies and procedures preferred. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize assignments and maintain efficient record-keeping systems. Excellent computer skills required with proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint preferred. Skill in taking meeting minutes essential. Must be willing to work as part of a team.
