Provide Administrative/clerical support for the Wharton Real Estate Department. Perform a wide range of administrative duties to support faculty and staff. Reporting directly to the Business Administrator with assisting in processing reimbursements, purchasing and reconciling accounts. Assist with coordinating activities of all academic programs such as classroom assignments, course scheduling, reserving TA office hours, copying/scanning course materials, exams and classroom technology requests. Order and distribute class handouts and routine Reprographics orders. Provide front desk coverage by answering phones and directing inquiries to appropriate individuals. This position also provides front desk coverage in the absence of the Receptionist. Greet visitors and students during this time and provide guidance to their inquiries. Prepare express mail and monitor supplies inventory. Attend and provide support for Department Faculty/Staff and Center meetings and events. This will entail working off hours occasionally. Receive food and beverage orders and then tear down. Serve as a Department contact for external and internal inquiries. Provide assistance to the Associate Director of the Department with all aspects of course planning. Running errands for Department Faculty and Staff. Provide other administrative misc. duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or GED is required and 1 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, proven ability to carry out duties independently with minimal supervision; strong writing and verbal communication skills, ability to interact effectively with faculty and business school students, as well as professionals from outside the university. Must have the ability to work with software systems and is proficient with Microsoft Office.
