Responsibilities include performing a variety of account reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, performing transaction analysis for senior management, providing fiscal year-end audit and tax preparation support, assisting with the accounting and reporting for University related-entities and providing oversight and support to campus for the University’s portfolio of non-grant restricted funds. Specific duties include journal entry preparation and review, non-grant restricted and agency fund set-up and maintenance, deficit monitoring and follow-up, compilation of financial statements and other reports, maintenance of orderly files and workpapers which provide an audit trail, and assisting departments in understanding accounting procedures and the Banner financial system.
After an initial 3-6 month training period, this position would be eligible to participate in the University’s remote work program, which provides for up to 2 days of remote work per week.

Licensed as a Certified Public Accountant with one to three years experience in public accounting or two to four years relevant industry experience. Prior experience with bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation and ERP financial systems. Working knowledge of GAAP and GAAS applicable to higher education.
