University of Notre Dame
The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Inequality, Poverty, and Community Resource Governance.
Applications will be accepted until 01/31/2024.
The Pulte Institute for Global Development, an integral part of the Keough School of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame, combines the existing world-class teaching and research faculty of Notre Dame with a dedicated staff of experienced international development professionals, administrators, and researchers in order to address global poverty and inequality through policy, practice, and partnership.
The Pulte Institute for Global Development is hiring a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to contribute to research related to environmental policy in developing countries. The research is a collaboration with Indiana University and examines the effectiveness of selected community-based interventions when it comes to changes in economic, social, and environmental outcomes. The project will collect and analyze a variety of original field data, including household surveys, behavioral experiments, as well as in-depth interviews and focus group meetings. The research encompasses field research activities in South Asia, East Africa, and Latin America. The successful candidate is expected to disseminate findings via peer reviewed manuscripts and conference presentations in collaboration with supervisor/research teams.
This is a full-time position. The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will have a hybrid work arrangement (partly remote, partly in person) to be agreed upon with the Principal Investigators. The position is for one year, with a possible extension for up to three years, depending on performance and availability of funding. The Fellow will be expected to travel to and work in project field sites for several weeks per year. The position will be co-supervised by Professors Krister Andersson (University of Notre Dame) and Nathan Cook (Indiana University). Review of applications will start on January 15, 2024, and will continue until the position is filled. Expected start date during the spring semester of 2024.
