Position Overview:
This position functions as an expert Windows Server System Administrator on the Academic Technologies Infrastructure team. This consists of server, container, and process automation function areas for 68% of University of North Texas Tenure/Tenure Track (T/T) Faculty, 50% of Semester Credit Hours (SCH), four colleges, 31 departments, and 14 centers and institutes. The position will solve complex procedural, operations, and technical problems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field and five years of related computing work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Prior experience with specific systems, equipment and software may be specified as needed by department.
• Considerable knowledge of principles of computing and/or communications networks, and characteristics of computing hardware and software used in distributed environments.
• Ability to supervise and train subordinates.
• Ability to operate computer keyboards and to install computer hardware.
• Ability to assimilate, retain and utilize technical and applications-oriented information.

Trained and/or mentored AT Infrastructure and Service Desk staff to maximize their skills, including cross training for organization continuity.

Ensures all internal and external AT Infrastructure Windows Server related documentation is created, reviewed, and updated as appropriate.
