The Senior Assistant Director of Financial Aid Technical Operations provides technical support to the
Financial Aid Office ensuring all processes are compliant in accordance to Department of Education regulations.

Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The Office of Scholarships and
Financial Aid (OSFA) is expected to serve students seeking financial aid assistance as well as students who receive benefits which require
coordination through the OSFA. The OSFA currently serves approximately 70% of the student body. This includes federal financial assistance,
veterans educational benefits, all tuition waivers (including faculty/staff , senior citizens and others), all scholarships, all
institutional aid and all non-institutional aid. These financial assistance programs include grants, scholarships, loans and part-time
employment.
Major functions of the department include management of funds processing aid applications from students each year,
monitoring records and procedures for compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations, monitoring records and procedures
for compliance with NCAA athletics rules, providing federal, state, and donor reports, and providing general financial aid advising and
counseling to current and prospective students and their parents.
