Summary
This position will join a multidisciplinary team at the UNM Prevention Research Center focused on prevention research and evaluation. The Associate Scientist 2 will play a central role in the implementation of community engaged research and evaluation in the areas of community nutrition and physical activity. This will require engaging with staff, community partners, and students. The position oversees quantitative data collection and appropriate analysis under the guidance of the principal investigator. In collaboration with the PI, the Associate Scientist 2 will participate in the interpretation of data and development of reports, as well as presentations and manuscripts, based on findings. The position requires some day travel with occasional overnight stays in partner communities. Must be willing to travel to partner communities throughout New Mexico and have a valid New Mexico driver’s license.

Minimum Job Requirements
Master’s degree; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
