The Assistant Director of Student Services is responsible for the overall planning and management of
the front desk program in all University Housing residence halls. The work includes the holistic evaluation, development, coordination, and
supervision of desks throughout the residence hall system. This includes direct supervision of three professional staff members and indirect
supervision of student staff members. The role will focus on ensuring students and guests who interact with the front desk have the best
experience possible. The Assistant Director coordinates check-in, check-out, and room move processes throughout University Housing. In
addition, the Assistant Director serves in an on-call rotation. This position is required to be available by cell phone during office and on
call hours.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required. Two years of experience leading processes in a customer service setting. Two years supervision of
students, interns, professionals, or others. Strong administrative skills and knowledge of PC-based applications essential. This position
requires superior written and verbal communication skills in addition to mastery of Microsoft Office and e-mail systems. Ability to
communicate and work well with others. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and e-mail systems. Strong written and oral communication
skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree is preferred. Five years of experience leading
processes in a customer service setting. Three years of experience with residence hall operations. Three years of experience with recruiting
and onboarding new staff members. Experience leading a training program. Two or more years of experience responding to emergency and crisis
situations in an on-call capacity. Experience running StarRez or an equivalent program for tracking occupancy and charges.
