Definition of Class
This position
identifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards major gift prospects. The incumbent is responsible for planning, executing and administering a
major gifts program for an assigned program or college in collaboration with the dean or director and development supervisor. The officer
must be knowledgeable and articulate about current giving opportunities and develop new ones. The officer engages volunteers in fundraising
efforts or service activities. Extensive travel is required to cultivate and solicit donors.

Minimum
Education/Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or
university.
AND
Experience:
Two (2) years of experience related to the above described duties.
Substitution
Statement:
Related experience may be substituted for education, on a basis set forth and approved by the Department of Human
Resources.
