About the Job
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Associate
Education Manager serves as a leader on the Department education team and supervises the team of Education Coordinators. This role includes
training staff, developing programs, overseeing all aspects of program accreditation, consulting with programs, interpreting and developing
policy, sharing knowledge and streamlining administrative processes and functions. This highly valued and visible position leads, represents
and grows the education team in partnership with faculty and administrative leadership. This position will report to the Education Manager
with a dotted line to the Department Administrator for Education and partners with the Education Leadership team, and faculty and staff
leaders of education programs.
This position will be expected to be on campus a minimum of 2 days per week, with a remote work option
for 3 days.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
Cross-Program Project Leadership (40%)
* Independently assess program operations
and compliance to ensure education outcomes are met through partnership with Department education leadership, program directors, programs
coordinators, trainees and faculty. Assess risks, anticipate possible conflicts and take steps to mitigate them and/or improve
outcomes.
* Lead development and adoption of best practices and develop methods for sharing across programs.
* In collaboration with
faculty leaders and Education Manager, lead both department and medical school-wide initiatives across all programs
* Lead preparation
for ACGME (Graduate Medical Education accrediting body) self studies, site visits, and annual reporting requirements. Develop tools,
processes, and systems to support this work across all programs..
Administrative Management of Education Programs (35%)
* Partner
with the Education Manager to oversee human resource and finance requirements and processes for both accredited and non-accredited programs
and trainees.
* Partner with the Education Manager to manage training grant applications, administrative oversight and reporting.

Partner with faculty and staff in development of new programs.
* Lead development of marketing materials & website updates, and ensure
consistency across divisions and programs.
Supervision and Team Leadership (25%)
* Formally supervise work and guide professional
development for a team of Education Coordinators.
* Manage processes to build a team, create cross-coverage plans, and develop
consistency across department programs.
* Advise staff on work performance, best practices, and new initiatives
* Partner with Program
Directors, Faculty and Administrators to ensure program needs are met.
Qualifications
Required
Qualifications:
* BA/BS plus at least 4 years of experience or a combination of related education and work experience to equal eight
years.
* Experience directly supervising staff or leading large projects.
* Demonstrated experience overseeing a wide range of
administrative processes with a commitment to professionalism and confidentiality
* Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and customer
service experience
* Demonstrated critical thinking skills with the ability to problem-solve independently and provide input on process
improvements
* Must be self-motivated, self-guided and goal-oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in Graduate
Medical Education (GME).
* Experience managing relationships with multiple stakeholder groups in a large organization.
* Strong
analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage stakeholder priorities.
* Adaptable with a strong ability to organize and
manage competing priorities and lead and motivate staff through change.

Medical Education (GME) Office supports the 140+ residency and
fellowship programs sponsored by the Medical School, so that every program offers the best possible training environment and educational
opportunities.
The GME team provides resources, how-to manuals, policies and guidelines, and other information to help program teams
manage graduate medical education programs for residents, fellows, observers, and visiting
trainees.
