Summary
The Prevention Research Collaborative, based in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Education (HBHE) at the University of Michigan School of Public Health is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Healthy Minds Network Coordination Lead to lead the daily operations for the Healthy Minds Network. The Prevention Research Collaborative (PRC) brings together research teams from the CDC-funded Prevention Research Center, Michigan Youth Violence Prevention Center, Healthy Minds Network, Housing and Health Equity Solutions, and several affiliated federally-funded research initiatives focusing on school and community-based approaches to promoting safe, healthy, and equitable communities HMN is dedicated to improving the mental and emotional well-being of young people through diverse scholarship. HMN addresses the connection between the mental health of adolescents and young adults and their health behaviors, physical health, and social, educational, and economic outcomes. Taking a public health approach, HMN focuses on three main objectives: (1) producing knowledge (research), (2) distributing knowledge (dissemination), and (3) using knowledge (practice). Through its rich array of research projects, the network serves as a resource for secondary and higher education administrators, researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and the public.
The HMN Coordination Lead will work with the HMN Director, PRC Managing Director and Administrative staff to coordinate the daily administrative operations for the Healthy Minds Study. This includes working with participating institutions and onboarding new study coordinator staff, support and coordination of student assistant staff, assisting with budgeting and financial operations, developing procedures for efficient study coordination. As part of the Prevention Research Collaborative, you will participate in PRC diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, and will contribute to the mission of the Collaborative. You will report to the project principal investigator (PI).
