CEW+ (Center for the Education of Women+) empowers women and underserved individuals in the University of Michigan and surrounding communities by serving as an advocate and providing resources to help them reach their academic, financial, and professional potential. CEW+ provides resources, career and education counseling, events and workshops, emergency funding, and scholarships.

This position is a member of the CEW+ Development, Marketing and Communication Team and will report to the CEW+ Development & External Relations Director. Successful candidates for this position will function highly independently and will have experience in most aspects of the position responsibilities. All CEW+ staff members are eligible to work from home for a portion of their schedule. The CEW+ office is fully remote on Mondays and all staff are on-site on Tuesdays. After successfully completing 3 months of onboarding, an assessment will be completed to determine eligibility for working from home up to 2 days per week.

Responsibilities*
Fundraising, Strategy & Management
Lead a comprehensive annual fund program to engage, cultivate, solicit and steward CEW+ prospects for lead annual gifts and planned gifts, managing a portfolio of 100+ prospects with the capacity for gifts $25,000 and under.
Develop a strategy to engage scholars, past participants in CEW+ programs & services, and new donors in annual giving to strengthen the donor pipeline
Implement a corporate giving and foundation relations program with input from the Office of University Development partners
Manage strategy for annual days of giving and mailers/solicitations for CEW+ and cost-shared Provost Office units
Provide functional oversight of annual giving tasks performed by Development Coordinator
Stewardship
Manage the annual fund stewardship program by producing impact reports, thank you letters, and summaries of awarding of funds
Use data to determine the effectiveness of stewardship program and for inclusion in reports.
Develop stewardship events for annual fund donors, upload and run data reports and provide ideas for publications
Campus Partnerships
Participate in University-wide Annual Fund committees/discussion forums and training opportunities
Work closely with Office of University Development (OUD) and schools/colleges/units across campus and internal Development staff in prospect coordination, and in setting priorities for gifts under 25K
Communicate the stories and impacts of CEW+ programs and services for nontraditional students to campus partners
