Job Summary
Acts as the first responder for all off-shift maintenance calls for all off-shift Metasys Building Operation Systems alarms, temperature (too hot/too cold) calls, and calls involving emergency and routine repairs (as allowed by existing codes) involving non-licensed plumbing, electrical, elevator entrapments and failures, heat and cooling systems, security hardware, locks and life safety equipment failures. Calls also involve fire alarms, sprinkler activation, and custodial calls that present a health or safety risk. Performs corrective actions to trouble calls and alarms or determines that a specialized tradesperson or service contractor is required to make necessary repairs. Performs scheduled maintenance tasks as required or as assigned. Coordinates the actions of personnel called to resolve emergency situations.

Additional Details
Must work rotating shifts, including weekends. Position is designated essential for all emergency closures. May be required to work long hours and under adverse weather conditions. Must wear University clothing when provided.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Receives supervision from Institutional Maintenance Foreman and/or other employee of a higher grade who provides training and instruction and reviews performance through written and verbal reports for compliance with procedures, codes, laws, rules, and regulations. On occasion, may receive functional supervision from other employees as appropriate for directed activities in support of University operations.
