Military Degree Plans Coordinator

Exempt, Contingent II, Full-Time, Pay Grade 1.2
Location: Remote
The Department of Stateside Military Operations is currently seeking a Military Degree Plans (MDP) Coordinator who will provide support to UMGC military-affiliated students by creating military-specific degree plans required for the use of DoD Tuition Assistance. The MDP Coordinator will report to the Director of MDP Program Management.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Prepare and process electronic PeopleSoft Evaluated Military Degree Plans (EMDP) for active-duty Army, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, Navy, Marine Corps, and selected DoD civilian students located worldwide within specified business processes.
Coordinate with Degree Audit, Student Academic Records, and Admissions to accomplish tasks related to student support and production of EMDPs.
Respond to advisors, military education coordinators, success coaches, and field representatives regarding inquiries or issues related to EMDPs.
Participate in at least one-to-two projects annually related to MDP processes or enrollment growth.
Review and update EMDP templates as needed.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
Two (2) years’ experience advising military students and/or working with academic programs; processing degree evaluations; experience with military student support and using ACE (American Council on Education) guidelines and recommendations concerning the award of collegiate credit for military training, education & experience.
Qualified candidates must have demonstrated oral and written communication skills; the ability to prioritize workload; demonstrated ability to organize tasks, products, and files.
Excellent computer skills, including familiarity with PeopleSoft, Salesforce, OnBase and the MS Office 365 suite of products.
