Position Description:
The Department Coordinator II provides high-level, comprehensive administrative support for the Office of the Chair, the division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), and other Divisions of the Department of Pediatrics as needed. This position will collaborate with the Senior Manager of Office Operations in handling information requests, perform administrative functions including but not limited to maintaining the main department phone system, managing pediatrics building conference rooms, and scheduling meetings for the chair, vice chairs and others as needed. The coordinator will also be responsible for receiving guests, triaging visitors via the secure door system, and creating a welcoming environment in the Office of the Chair and the Department of Pediatrics. Complex and ongoing responsibilities will include collaborating with the faculty affairs team by creating and managing itineraries for faculty candidates, provide support to the Senior Manager of Office Operations in managing the affairs of the chair and chair office, serve as backup for the Facilities Coordinator, Facilities Manager and other divisional staff for the Department of Pediatrics.
